Impressive and Admirable Things#
The cause of the event was a recent notification:
Notice regarding filling out the graduate education quality survey:
Graduate students of all grades: The link to the graduate education quality survey of XXX College is as follows:
There are four questionnaires, please fill out the corresponding questionnaire according to your own situation:
Questionnaire A is for all students of the 2022 level (including academic master's, professional master's, and doctoral students);
When we open this survey, what questions do we see:
Gender, age, household registration, political affiliation
Looking further down: marital status, parents' education level, parents' specific occupation, family's annual income
Looking at the title again, Graduate Education Quality Survey, I was shocked to find that this was actually an announcement sent to the class group.
While I was shocked, I saw that a classmate voiced her opinion, and I admire her for being able to speak out. I might question whether or not to fill out the survey, but I wouldn't say anything.
Is it necessary to fill out this survey? Or is it optional? It seems that the questionnaire is asking for personal information, and I don't really understand the connection between this and graduate education. Thank you.
I have seen similar surveys in the past, and I really wonder how schools come up with such teaching quality surveys. Are they questions proposed by teachers or the college itself?
Are they trying to collect data for analyzing the correlation between student quality and family background? I feel angry when I see this questionnaire.
It reminds me of the privacy questions in Cambly's trial lesson with a foreign teacher. This is how it is all over the world, it just depends on the extent.
Half-raised National Flag#
It's the annual memorial day again, and I saw some people reposting mourning pictures on their Moments, but it seems like there are not as many as before.
The 13th is also the day I return home. On my way home, I passed by Nan Zhongyi and saw the half-raised national flag. Every year on this day, my mood becomes a bit heavy, maybe it feels even deeper for those in Nanjing. Plus, I have a friend whose birthday is also on this day, so the impression of this day is even deeper.
On this day, I posted a visible Moment, which surprised some friends and classmates. Now, when they open my profile, it's not blank anymore, and they won't misunderstand that I don't share Moments publicly.
I hope we can face this matter squarely, mourn the people of the past, not just stay on the surface of activities, not just simply count the number of victims and the historical events of that year, not just simply confront Japan.
Even with perfect data, it is difficult to change our and their thoughts on a spiritual level.
peace.
Opening Up#
According to the "needs of the people's daily life," the "unblocking" has begun.
Correspondingly, it means that the issue of social infection has been considered, and it's a bit confusing.
I have returned home, and the subsequent floors were really locked down for two days, and then my roommate and classmates in the group got infected.
A simple WeChat notification, without clear information on flow control, antigen tests, thermometers, and medication distribution, no private bathroom in the dormitory, and still going out of the dormitory door to the public restroom as usual. (It took a long time for medication distribution and antigen test allocation to be mentioned later)
You don't know the health conditions of the surrounding dormitories.
After two days, it was unblocked again, and as for the infected classmates, they have to take care of themselves.
My classmates and friends are thinking, how can I not affect others if I am infected? There's no way, they won't consider such things, just take care of yourself.
For young people, they may be able to get through it by enduring, but can those with underlying diseases and the elderly really easily overcome such a harsh winter? I thought of a video I saw before, where someone wore protective clothing to go home, it would be surprising, and I would be too, but they considered going back to see elderly relatives, so I fell silent again.
I hope we can all take care of ourselves, take care of our families, and pay attention to our physical and mental health.
peace.
I am not someone who loves to follow hot news events. Often, when others mention something or when I see someone reposting it, I will try to understand a part of it. For most events, I really don't have much interest in understanding them. I don't know their authenticity, and few people pay attention to the follow-up.
Using other hot topics to cover up the real hot topics, being enthusiastic about reporting the misfortunes of other countries, and recently seeing the survey..., in my opinion, sometimes the world is magical.
Mr. Lu Xun said, "Those who can do things, do things; those who can speak out, speak out." But the current situation is clearly not one where we can speak out freely, and the information we see is not entirely of our own choosing.
